Site of Commercial Marina Lots on Sale

The entrance to the marina areas and harbour is from Nadi Bay. The channel has full Environmental Impact As¬sessment approvals and a license to dredge the entire channel from the open Bay to the Harbour. The channel is approximately five hundred meters long, eighty metres wide, with a minimum depth at low tide of three meters. The whole area is covered by a foreshore crown lease for 99 years.

The rest of the ten acres on which the port facilities will be built are designated as commercial. There will be a total of twenty-eight commercial lots sub-divided into separate titles ranging in size from one thousand five hundred square meters to eight hundred square meters. Depending on size and location, the lots will be priced from $175,000 to $350,000 plus VAT.

The whole project in the Port area will be completed and operational within eighteen months of the commence¬ment of the construction works. The entire construction operation will be managed by the development company and contracted to each of the individual companies for each of the specialised areas such as buildings, float¬ing docks, dry docking facility, utilities, jetties, deck¬ing, dredging, civil engineering and the subdivision of the lots. The professional services will be provided by consultants including, Suresh Maharaj and Associates, Wood and Jepsen, HLB Crosbie and Associates and Bayleys Real Estate.

The cost estimates in place are that the construction of stage one will cost almost $3.5 million for the marina and facilities such as the terminal building will cost an additional $3.0 million.
