Fantasy Island started in 1990 as the result of one man’s dreams of how a paradise could be created out of what was at that time unproductive swampland.
Over the following years his vision and relentless effort inspired others to join him as partners in this business effort. The Company was finally registered in Fiji in 1992 and a structure was put in place to allow the enterprise to become a dynamic force for change in the renowned tourism area of Nadi Bay called Wailoaloa.
With consistent support from the government the Company grew in strength and capability but chose to maintain a low profile and concentrate on keeping a focus on the development work needed to create the vision in civil engineering and infrastructure to build a world-class multi-phase development. In the process the Fantasy Company has attracted millions of local and foreign investment dollars, contributing significantly to the economic spin-offs for Fiji.
The first phase of the five-stage development is complete, providing an up –market gated residential subdivision comprising high quality buildings, well designed access and services, exciting tropical landscaping and a relaxed atmosphere. This is, however, only the beginning of a complex project planned for completion by 2015.
The Company is delivering, with the assistance of the Fiji government and the expertise of many people with varied skills, a development to fulfil the dreams of those people who choose to live in peace on the water’s edge. “We are in the process of creating a world class resort complex to provide vacation facilities to satisfy the growing demand of Fiji’s international source markets”.
